Junior Lady Warriors get road win at Marked Tree

EPC jumped out to a 15-4 lead after the first quarter before going on to post a 33-14 win over the Junior Lady Indians this past Friday in Marked Tree.

Latavia Freeman go the Junior Lady Warriors on the board first with a steal and lay up as Nikoby Andrews scored inside for Marked Tree to make it 2-2. EPC got two free throws from Denissia Gaines and a basket inside from Zoe Constant to make the score 6-2 Junior Lady Warriors with 3:07 left. Kelis Garrett hit two free throws for EPC, Freeman scored off the fast break before Gaines hit a jumper making it 12-2 Junior Lady Warriors. Freeman canned a three-pointer for EPC as Andrews scored inside for the Junior Lady Indians to make it 15-4 at the end of one.

Nitasia Matthews scored inside for Marked Tree to open the second quarter only to see the Junior Lady Warriors get a fast break basket from Freeman, a stick back basket from Constant and one of two free throws from Garrett to make it 20-6 EPC with 1:51 left. Kiasia Burns got a steal and lay up right before the buzzer to make the score 20-8 Junior Lady Warriors at halftime.
