Trayvius Brown of Marked Tree filled the stat book each time the Indians took the floor this past season. For his efforts, Brown was chosen for the Class 2A all-state basketball team. Brown helped Marked Tree to a 24-6 record and the quarter-finals of the Class 2A state tournament averaging 15 points a game with 4.6 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.3 assists per game. Brown shot 45 percent from the field, 38 percent from three-point land and 83 percent from the free throw line. Other selections included All-NEA and All-Conference. “Tray has been a winner from the moment he entered this program. He has been in championship games since the seventh-grade! He worked to make himself better. His numbers dropped quite a bit this year due to him changing positions moving over to the point guard. He served on one of our captains this season,” Marked Tree head coach Barbara Wilburn said of Brown.
