Marked Tree scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning on their way to a 3-0 shutout of conference rival EPC this past Tuesday in Lepanto. Brennon Honeycutt only allowed three hits on the mound for the Indians as he struck out eight batters. Zander Criswell had two hits and a run scored to lead Marked Tree at the plate as Logan Smith had a hit and a RBI. Jackson Parrish had a hit and a run scored, Jarrett Harsson had a hit as Braden Francis scored a run. Kern Kline took the loss for EPC as he gave up three runs on five hits with two walks and nine strikeouts. Kline, Preston Rains and Jason Daniels each had a hit for the Warriors.

Harrisburg and Greene County Tech had to play an extra inning to settle the score as the Lady Hornets scored in the top of the eighth inning to take a 1-0 win over the Lady Golden Eagles last Friday in Paragould. Hayden Hopkins drove in the Lady Hornetsí only run on her only hit of the day. Gretchen Morgan scored a run as Ansley Wixson added a hit for Harrisburg. Kloey Harlson pitched all eight innings for the Lady Hornets giving up no runs while allowing seven hits. She walked none and struck out six batters.
