Lady Wildcats take home win over Gosnell

Trumann scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning for the first runs of the game before going on to a 7-3 win over Gosnell this past Thursday in the first game of a double-header in Trumann.

Gosnell loaded the bases in the top of the first inning before a strikeout by Devin Overshine left the bases loaded for the Lady Pirates. Sydney Callahan singled leading off for the Lady Wildcats before getting thrown out trying to steal second base. Karsen Overshine struck out as Daly Taylor and Mallory Hartley had back to back singles. Hannah McClaughlin stuck out to leaving two runners on base to keep the score 0-0. The Lady Pirates got a lead-off double only to see the runner tagged out after over running the base. A groundout and a strikeout ended the top of the second inning. Maddie Roach grounded out and Mallory Mincy flew out before Kayla Spence was hit by a pitch. Devin Overshine struck out to end the inning as the score stayed 0-0 after two innings.
