Lady Warriors fall in district tournament finals

EPC managed only four hits against McCrory in the 2A-6 district finals falling 3-0 to the Lady Jaguars this past Friday in McCrory. EPC will be the number two seed from the district and will play Riverside Thursday (May 2) in the 2A-North Regional tournament being played in McCrory.

The Lady Warriors went down in order in the top of the first as Keragan Gordon, Zoe Constant and Meagan Allen all struck out. McCrory plated a run in the bottom half on a passed ball to take a 1-0 lead after one. Emili Mangrum struck out leading off the top of the second as Jordyn Brewer singled. Mayce Brewer followed with a single before Kaylee Hood struck out. Mayce Brewer was picked off first base for the third out. McCrory got a runner to second base with one out only to leave her stranded to keep the score 1-0 Lady Jaguars.

Bre Ward struck out and Abby Martinez grounded out for two quick outs in the top of the third inning for EPC before Gordon singled. Constant struck out leaving Gordon stranded. McCrory went three up and three down in the bottom half as the score stayed 1-0 Lady Jaguars. The Lady Warriors went down in order in the top of the fourth as Allen popped out, Mangrum struck out and Jordyn Brewer flew out. McCrory's first batter hit a solo home run to make it 2-0 Lady Jaguars after four innings of play.
