Marked Tree got a three-hit shutout from Chaz Simmons as the Indians beat Cross County to claim the third seed in the 2A-6 district tournament this past Friday in McCrory. The win gives the Indians the three seed in the upcoming 2A North Regional tournament to be played in McCrory. The Indians will face off against Riverside on Thursday (May 2). Eli McCrary had two hits and four RBI to lead Marked Tree offensively as Simmons had two hits and two RBI. Jarrett Harsson and Zander Criswell each had two hits for the Indians.

Harrisburg lost 3-1 to Bald Knob in a hard fought game this past Friday in the 3A-2 district tournament being played in Tuckerman. The Lady Hornets will be the number three see from district and will play Gosnell Thursday (May 2) in the opening round of the 3A-3 Regional tournament being played at Palestine-Wheatley. Kloey Harlson had two hits and a RBI to lead Harrisburg at the plate as Jehlian Wright had two hits and a run scored. Destiny McGuire also had a hit. Harlson took the loss in the circle going all seven innings allowing three runs on three hits with eight strikeouts.
