Harrisburg city council passes new resolutions

During the brief meeting, the council heard reports from the Harrisburg police department and fire department, as well as discussed new resoluitions for the town of Harrisburg. Resolution 2019-005 aimed to re-establish compensation time for specific city employees, a previous ordinance stripped comp days from most city employees. This ordinance was passed and nulls other ordinances regarding the same issue. The ordinance allows for a mximum comp time of 240 hours for the police department and the school's resource officer. However, school resource officers are only allowed to enact on their comp time during "off-duty" days such as, summer, holidays and weekends.
