Wildcat golf team wins fourth match in a row

The Trumann Wildcats golf team made it four wins in a row and two wins this week. The Wildcats shot a 112 at Rolling Hills this past Thursday to beat Pocahontas (122), Highland (140) and Westside (149). Jake Osment shot 36 to win medalist honors as Luke Montgomery carded a 37 and Connor Everhart shot a 39. Gavin Greenwell finished with a 40 for Trumann. At Cherokee North this past Tuesday, the Wildcats carded a 122 as Osment led the way with a 40. Greenwell and Montgomery both carded a 41. Highland was second with a 143, Bradford was third with a 145, Southside was fourth at 165 and Midland finished with a 212. On the girls’ side, Jenna Hall finished with a 57 to lead Trumann to a third place finish with a 188 behind Highland (135) and Westside (179) at Rolling Hills. Daviegh Hodges had a 65 and Mackenzie White carded a 66. The Lady Wildcats finished second with a 197 at Cherokee North as White shot a 61. Hall and Jada Matthews both fired a 68 for the Lady Wildcats. Highland won with a 152 and Bradford was third with a 201.
